Intense Natural Disaster Movies

Spread the love

In the past, the earth was more serious than the natural disasters in the world. It is very unfortunate that these terrible and catastrophic natural phenomena are not only exposed to the big screen, but also meet us in real life. Disasters such as tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, earthquakes, forest fires, floods and global warming are real looking are in our backyard.

All these terrible global disasters have immersed me in the film world of natural disasters. New movies sites like with computer-enhanced technology are absolutely on the edge of the chair with their outstanding movie effects. Whether you are flying between a small plane or on a collapsed highway exit ramp, you will move from left to right to avoid the frightened dealer.

Let us not forget the old movies in the disaster, where the quality of the performance is better than the limited special effects. However, compared to…, it is worthwhile to watch the visual and sound effects of natural disaster movies in theaters. I don’t know, this is a romantic movie.

Here are some of my favorite movies about natural disasters since the beginning of the movie…

The last days of Pompeii – 1935

This is a great movie that was introduced to the personal life of the citizens of Pompeii in 79 AD, interrupted only by the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Unlike the Dante Summit, the real disaster suddenly happened at the end of the movie.

Protagonists: Preston Foster, Basil Rathbone, Alan Hale, David Holt and John Wood.

San Francisco – 1936

At 5:13 am on April 18, 1906, a devastating San Francisco earthquake occurred. This is a great movie, but in all the natural disaster movies of the time, it was a bit too patriotic and a symbol of the times. Yes, this movie is a musical, once again becoming a symbol of the times.

Protagonists: Clark Gable, Spencer Tracy, Jeanette MacDonald, Jack Holt (from the relatives of David in the last movie?).

The devil was at 4 o’clock in 1961

In this classic movie, three prisoners were found on an isolated island 500 kilometers from Tahiti. There is a children’s leprosy hospital on the island led by two pastors. Suddenly, the fierce volcano erupted on the island, and the last three were condemned to save the children and the hospital staff. A very wonderful movie.

Main characters: Frank Sinatra, Spencer Tracy, Kerwin Mathews, Barbara Luna, Bernie Hamilton, Grégoire Aslan.

Twister – 1996

There is a lot of action and a little bit of humor in this mix of great movies about natural disasters. The film tells the story of a tornado hunter team trying to perfect the tornado data collection tool to predict the impact of these devastating phenomena. The magical effect of this movie is very good.

Protagonists: Bill Paxton, Helen Hunt, Todd Field, Jami Gertz.

Ding Feng – 1997

Dante’s Peak is located on the side of a mountain in the scenic state of Washington, in the heart of the city of St. Helena, just below an inactive volcano. When the mountain began to show signs of volcanic eruptions, a volcanologist and the mayor of the city were trying to convince all residents of the city that they had problems. No one believed that they were too late before the volcanic eruption… and then the great action escaped.

Protagonist: Linda Hamilton, Pierce Brosnan, Charles Hallahan, Grant Heslov.

The day after tomorrow – 2004

Due to global warming, extreme weather conditions such as tsunami and tornado have disastrous consequences for the planet. All these storms are supported by global cooling, and everything freezes in an instant. The next ice age. This is a great movie with outstanding special effects.

Protagonists: Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, Ian Holm, Emmy Rossum.

2012 – 2009

If we talk about the special effects in the movie, it will definitely win. In 2012, global catastrophic events became a reality along with the Mayan ideology. Many damages such as earthquakes and unusual volcanic eruptions. In my opinion, this is the best of all natural disaster movies and is worth watching in the theater.

Protagonists: John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt.
